Library Committee

The Library committee at Bellevue is critical to the operation and enrichment of the school's library. The library is managed entirely by parent volunteers who oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the library, including the sourcing and addition of new books.

Volunteers also take charge of making improvements, such as installing new fixtures. At least one parent volunteer is required to make the library available to students before school and during lunchtime. In addition, the committee organizes various events throughout the school year, including on-site book fairs to raise funds for the library and classroom book collections. The committee also organizes our annual Read Across America week celebration, with various activities to engage our students in fostering a love of reading.

We are seeking new volunteers to help staff lunchtime and before-school library shifts, coordinate with classroom teachers, and handle fun events, like the annual book fair and craft days.
